Prince Harry says 'he's doomed' as he laughs about going bald at Invictus Games

Prince Harry has said “he’s doomed” as he laughed about going bald at the Invictus Games.

The Duke of Sussex, who is currently in The Hague, Netherlands, for the fifth iteration of the Invictus Games, laughed about his hairline when filming a Dutch TV show.

The royal hairline has long been the butt of jokes with William’s own pointed out in the past.

In the clip, the royal is seen sitting with Dutch athlete Bart van der Burg who is having makeup applied to his forehead.

Harry joked that van der Burg, who is bald, would have “a lot more to be done there”.

The athlete jokingly replied: “It’s also empty when she’s done.”

Following on from the joke, another man sitting nearby added it’s “not going take a long time before I am”, whilst gesturing to his own head of hair.

In response, the 37-year-old told the man his own hair loss was “slower” than Harry’s own.

“But you’re slower than me. I’m already … I’m doomed.”

“We’ve got the same barber I guess,” the man joked, before van der Burg added: “We call it a bird’s nest” to laughter from the duke.

The duke’s comments come after fans previously wondered whether a photo of the royal had been edited after he appeared on the cover of Time magazine alongside his wife Meghan Markle with fuller-looking hair.

Whilst this is the first time Harry has commented on his own hairline, his big brother Prince William referenced his own hair loss back in 2017.

At the time he joked with a hairstylist that he didn’t “have much hair” so “can’t give you much business”.

It comes after the Mirror reported that Prince Harry has not spoken to his father Prince Charles since the pair had a “cordial but slightly awkward” meeting which lasted just 15 minutes last Thursday.

An insider said: “Harry loved seeing his grandmother again and he is acutely aware of her advancing years.

“He is desperate for Lily to meet her great-grandmother and for Archie to see her again now he is likely to enjoy and remember the event.”

Sources close to Prince Charles have said he is “at a loss” to explain his son’s behaviour with his latest comments to American journalist Hoda Kotb this week.
