Prince Harry's son Archie should be invited to the Coronation if King Charles wants Meghan Markle to be there, a royal historian has claimed.
It is known that Harry and Meghan have had correspondence from Buckingham Palace inviting them to the Coronation in Westminster Abbey on May 6.
However, it is unclear if they will attend and the historic event also clashes with their son Archie's fourth birthday on the same day.
Reports have suggested that Archie and his younger sister Lilibet, who will turn two in June, have not been invited, with sources citing that the children are "very young".
Their cousins Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and five-year-old Prince Louis are believed to be attending.
And according to royal historian and author Dr Tessa Dunlop, it would be "odd" if Archie has not been invited to the event.
She told True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat: "It’s his fourth birthday on the day of the Coronation...
"If you look at the footage of the 1953 Coronation, who was very prominent, albeit briefly? Prince Charles. He was four.
"Archie on his fourth birthday is definitely not too young to attend the coronation. And if you want Meghan there, you need to invite her son."
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the show, it was claimed Harry and Meghan caught Buckingham Palace "on the hop" when announcing their children's new titles.
It has emerged that the couple has started using the titles prince and princess for their children Archie and Lilibet.
The youngsters became a prince and princess when their grandfather King Charles acceded to the throne, but had remained a plain "master” and "miss” on the Buckingham Palace website until last week.
News of the new titles for the children only emerged when the Sussexes made a statement confirming that young daughter Lilibet had been christened - and referred to her as Princess Lilibet.
And according to the Mirror's royal editor Russell Myers, the announcement was a surprise to everyone.
He told True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat: "The way it was delivered caught everyone on the hop and I think Buckingham Palace were caught on the hop.
"They may claim it was all agreed many moons ago and there were discussions way back when, but I think they would have thought that the Sussexes would have discussed with them when they would be putting the statement out.
"The feeling that I picked up on was that wasn't the case. I think this tells you a lot about the relationships at the moment and how fractured they are."
