Prince Harry's Oprah interview 'to drive a sledgehammer through relationship with William'

Prince Harry and Meghan's much-anticipated interview with Oprah Winfrey looks set to drive a sledgehammer through this relationship with his brother, a royal expert had suggested.

Teasers from the upcoming chat have hinted that there will be numerous explosive revelations about Harry and Meghan's relationship (or lack thereof) with the Royal Family.

In clips from the interview, which will air in the US at 1am, UK time, and 9pm on Monday on ITV, Prince Harry has already likened their situation to mum Princess Diana's and has said that he "feared history would repeat itself".

Meanwhile, Meghan has accused the Royals of "perpetuating falsehoods".

Following the clips, Royals at War author Dylan Howard fears that Harry and William's relationship may likely be forever ruined after the interview.

In a teaser clip ahead of Channel 5 documentary Harry and Meghan vs The Monarchy, airing tonight, Howard gives his opinion on the fallout of the Oprah chat.

He says: "It's almost like Prince Harry is driving a wedge with a sledgehammer through his relationship with Prince William.

"William, as a staunch advocate of everything that the Royal Family means, is obviously going to be dragged into this. I expect this interview to not only reverberate in the United States and England, but to rock the Establishment at its core."

In an explosive clip released last week, Meghan vowed to Oprah that she wouldn't be silenced and accused the Royal Family of playing an "active role" in "perpetuating falsehoods" about her and Prince Harry

Oprah had asked Meghan how she felt about the Palace hearing her "speak her truth".

Meghan replied: "I don't know how they could expect that after all of this time we would still just be silent if there is an active role that The Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us.

"And, if that comes with risk of losing things, I mean, I … there is a lot that’s been lost already."

This came just hours after Buckingham Palace announced an investigation into allegations that Meghan bullied former royal staff.
