Prince Harry's book may be pushed to next year due to 'truth bomb' concerns, say sources

Prince Harry's hotly anticipated memoir may not hit shelves until next year due to concerns over "truth bombs", it has been reported.

It had been claimed that the book, which the prince has described as a "truthful and wholly accurate" account of his life, is now written and has been signed off by lawyers.. It was thought it would be released later this year around Thanksgiving in the US in late November in time for the Christmas market. This would have seen it go up against Michelle Obama's new book, which is out on November 15. However, Harry's memoir is still not available to pre-order online.

And a publishing source told Page Six : "I have heard that Harry has some truth bombs in his book that he is debating on whether to include or not.

"So this [push back is] no surprise if he needs more time to work on the book."

Meanwhile the report also claims that when the book does have a release date, it is likely Harry will embark on a promo tour that will include appearances on morning TV shows in the US.

Another source told the publication: "There is a commitment for a number of weeks and dates and what that entails. His team will be confirming obligations now for a pretty robust and comprehensive promo tour."

When it was announced that Harry was releasing a tell-all book, it reportedly sent a "tsunami of fear" through royal circles and although the content of the book is not known, many have speculated he could criticise his royal relatives once again.

However, some royal experts believe Harry's recent meetings with his grandmother the Queen earlier this year may have convinced him to "tone down" what is in the book.

Royal expert Richard Kay previously told True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat: "There is still that possibility that the entreaties of the Royal Family have not fallen on deaf ears, and that Harry is having second thoughts about when he publishes this book at all...

"The book was completed, we believe in, about January - at least Harry’s part in it - the interviews. That was really when Harry was still at peak rage, with Britain, with the Royal Family, with his sibling and family.

"Since then, there has been a measure of a rapprochement. We saw it at the Jubilee, there was a bit of an attempt by Harry to sort of wind it down a bit. Will he want to readjust what he’s written? All these things must be going through his mind.”

While royal author Duncan Larcombe added: "When he saw the Queen on his way to the Invictus Games earlier this year ... I think Harry seems to have just slightly spiked his guns. The Queen has slightly calmed the situation down.”
