Prince Harry's blunt remark about his uncle Prince Andrew's friendship with Jeffrey Epstein

Prince Harry gave a blunt reply when asked about his uncle's friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein during a prank phone call.

The Duke of Sussex was tricked into speaking about a number of personal issues - including Andrew's involvement in the scandal, it has been claimed.

He thought he was speaking to climate change campaigner Greta Thunberg and her dad during phone calls on New Year's Eve and January 22, but it was actually Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov on the other end of the line.

As well as asking about why he quit the Royal Family, his and Meghan Markle's new lives in Canada and climate change, they chatted about Andrew.

He refused to comment on the situation, which has caused a lot of upset and embarrassment for the royals, and said he and Meghan are "completely separate" from the rest of the family.

Harry said: "I have very little to say on that.

"But whatever he has done or hasn't done, is completely separate from me and my wife.

"We operate in a way of inclusivity and we are focusing on community.

"And so we are completely separate from the majority of my family."

During the phone call, which has been turned into a video and uploaded online, Harry explains his decision to quit the Royal Family.

He and Meghan attended their final engagement as royals on Monday when they joined the Queen, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Charles at the Commonwealth Day Service.

He said: "I can assure you, marrying a Prince or Princess is not all it's made out to be.

"But sometimes the right decision isn't always the easy one.

"And this decision certainly wasn't the easy one but it was the right decision for our family, the right decision to be able to protect my son.

"And I think there's a hell of a lot of people around the world that can identify and respect us for putting our family first."
