Prince Harry rubs shoulders with stars from J Lo to Chrissy Teigen at first gig since Prince Philip's funeral

Prince Harry was met with cheers and a standing ovation yesterday as he spoke at a US event encouraging richer countries to share Covid vaccines.

His name was quite literally in lights in Los Angeles as he took to the stage by himself for Vax Live, for which he and wife Meghan Markle are Campaign Chairs.

It was the Duke's first public appearance since the funeral of his grandfather, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, on 17 April.

And the Duke delivered a five-minute address, urging a crowd of vaccinated frontline workers: "We must look beyond ourselves with empathy and compassion for those we know, and those we don't.

"We need to lift up all of humanity and make sure that no person or community is left behind."

Signing off, he told the crowd "every single one of you are awesome" as he made his way off stage.

But Harry was far from the only big name at the event, which is due to be aired on May 8.

With it being LA, stars were keen to involved and help out in whatever way they could.

Among the other famous faces were Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck, Chrissy Teigen, Jimmy Kimmel, and the concert's host Selena Gomez.

Selena also performed as well as carrying out hosting duties at the So-Fi Stadium, which has never before seen such a big event held within its walls.

J Lo stunned on the red carpet, before switching up her get-up for a leotard as she took to the stage with a troupe of dancers.

The star underwent another outfit change as she was joined on stage by mum Guadalupe Rodriguez, who showed off her own vocal talents.

Batman actor Ben Affleck was joined on the stage by chat show host and pal Jimmy Kimmel, who dressed as the Caped Crusader's trusty sidekick Robin.

Meanwhile, Chrissy looked sensational on the red carpet in an off-the-shoulder orange dress, while actress Olivia Munn dazzled in a yellow satin suit.

Nomzamo Mbatha, star of Coming 2 America, got a fist bump from Harry as she stepped up, while Canadian actress Keltie Knight cut a sophisticated figure in a white suit.

The concert is slated to air on May 8 on ABC, CBS, Fox, YouTube and iHeartMedia radio stations.

Other headlining appearances include US President Joe Biden, Dr Jill Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris.

French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Croatia Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic are other political leaders expected to send a message, while David Letterman, Gayle King and Sean Penn are also expected to make appearances.
