Prince Harry is ready to heal the rift with William and accept this his “sheer temper” let him down but his brother and Meghan Markle are both not willing to accept their mistakes, said a royal expert.
The Duke of Sussex is back in the UK for the unveiling of a statue for Princess Diana to mark what would have been her 60th birthday, and royal fans are hoping it is a chance for him and William to talk over their differences.
Harry and Meghan have been critical of the Royal Family and its way of life in a succession of interviews in the American media since moving to California which have strained the brothers’ relationship.

Problems began when William reportedly told the Sussexes to leave Kensington Palace in March, 2019, following allegations of bullying which Meghan and Harry have denied, said Robert Lacey in his new book Battle of Brothers.
Lacey told Newsweek that he thinks Harry now is the only one who would be happy to be on better terms with the royals, with William and Kate feeling they were right over concerns about his relationship to Meghan.
He said: "Harry is prepared to acknowledge the role that just sheer temper played at unfortunate moments, notably in the so-called blindsiding early in 2020.
"He actually is prepared to admit, in a way that William doesn't seem to be.
Lacey said he believes there is a way of "moving forward" for Prince William and Harry following months of tension.
Harry and Meghan announced their plans to step down from royal duties in January 2020 and carried out their final royal engagement three months later before moving to Canada and then settling in the US.
It comes after royal biographer Hugo Vickers claimed Harry is “under the thumb” of Meghan and would have her to answer to if he did make concessions.

He told the Daily Express: “You've got to remember that Harry has to return to his wife in Los Angeles. If he starts reconciling, he will get his head bitten off, won't he?"
The Diana statue unveiling is the first time that Harry has seen William face-to-face since the funeral of Prince Philip on April 17.
Meghan didn’t travel for the funeral as she was pregnant at the time and now has remained at their Santa Barbara home with their daughter Lilibet just 21 days old.
