Prince Harry 'left shocked' when Andrew 'barked' at Royal staff to get his mangoes

Prince Harry is said to have been shocked by the abrupt way Prince Andrew spoke to his kitchen staff at Kensington Palace.

It's claimed Harry would "pull a face" over how Prince Andrew treated staff, especially when ordering them to fetch some exotic requests.

On one occasion, the Duke of York is said to have 'barked' an order for mangoes.

Chef Darren McGrady, who used to work in the Royal household at Kensington Palace said there was a real difference in the way that different family members spoke to staff.

In biographer Chris Hutchin's book from 2013, Darren said Princess Diana wanted to ensure that Harry and Prince William were well mannered, and impeccable in their treatment of staff.

Darren said: "[Diana] would often bring William and Harry down to the kitchen to say thank you after a meal they’d enjoyed."

He continued: "Fergie was always trying to copy her. She would do it with Beatrice and Eugenie but it was so obvious that she was just trying to be Diana. Plus, she’d get the names of the chefs wrong."

In the book entitled Harry The People's Prince, Chris wrote that Harry would often "pull a face" when he saw how Prince Andrew barked orders at some of the people working in the royal kitchen.

Darren said: "Andrew always came straight to the point and told you exactly what he wanted.

"Whereas Harry had been taught to say ‘Please may I have…’, Andrew would bark, ‘Where are my mangoes? I want my mangoes."

"I’m not surprised that Harry has turned out to be the same as Diana. She doted on him."

Harry left the UK to begin a new life in California with wife Meghan Markle.

The Duke of Sussex's  father Prince Charles has tried to make peace with his son since the couple's bombshell Orpah interview by praising his work on climate change awareness.
