Prince Harry laughs as embarrassed Invictus Games athlete accidentally touches his bum

Prince Harry gamely laughed off an awkward bum touch accidentally committed by an Invictus Game team member.

Athlete Linsey Kelly was left a little flustered after she reached an arm around the Duke of Sussex's waist for a group selfie.

The 35-year-old's aim was a little off however, causing her to exclaim: "Oh no, I think I've touch Prince Harry's bottom."

Fortunately for the former RAF logistics movement controller, royal protocol has relaxed a little in the past few centuries, allowing the Prince to laugh in response to the bum touch.

A video of the cheeky encounter shows a smiling Harry spluttering: "It's almost in my pocket."

When later asked about her brush with the royal posterior, Ms Kelly told The Sun : "Oh my gosh. I just put my arm around him and it all went a bit wrong.

“He is so friendly. He is so normal, ex-serving military, he knows what we are on about and can relate to what we are talking about.

"He has had struggles with his own mental health at times and can relate to us. So it’s just wonderful. He is a great ambassador for this.”

Former Army pilot Harry, who served twice in Afghanistan during his 10-year long career in the Army, met the 65-strong team of athletes who will represent the UK in the Invictus Games next year.

It will be led by its first female captain, RAF veteran Rachel Williamson.

Ms Williamson suffered a rugby injury which developed into a functional neurological disorder, leaving her unable to use her arm.

Despite arriving 25 minutes late to the meeting, the Duke of Sussex received a rousing welcome.

He wore dark trousers, a red poppy, and a brown zip-collar jumper with a rakishly unbuttoned shirt underneath.
