Prince Harry lands at London’s Heathrow Airport to reunite with brother William for Diana statue tribute

Prince Harry has touched down at London’s Heathrow Airport just after midday on Friday, according to reports.

The Duke of Sussex has flown back to the UK to reunite with his brother William for the unveiling of a new statue to mark what would have been Princess Diana’s 60th birthday.

This will be the first time he will have seen his family since the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral at Windsor Castle on April 17.

Harry is to appear alongside William next Thursday at the unveiling ceremony of the statue of their mother in the gardens of Kensington Palace.

Earlier on Friday, the Duke of Sussex arrived at the LAX airport, Los Angeles in a black Cadillac SUV at around the same time police pursued a car on its south field.

A male driver was reported to have broken through a fence at the FedEx cargo facility and drove westbound on an airfield road, according to the Daily Mail.

The Duke later landed at Heathrow‘s Terminal Five, according to reports, and now will self-isolate in accordance to amber list quarantine guidenlines before the event on July 1.

Those arriving in England from amber list countries must normally quarantine for ten days but can end this early after five days under ‘test to release’ if they pay for a Covid-19 test on day five, in addition to a test on day two.

It has also been reported the brothers wanted to invite 100 people to the ceremony but Covid restrictions meant the event had been scaled down due to a limit on the number of guests that can attend both outdoor and indoor events.

His wife, Meghan Markle, will not be attending as she will remain in California to take care of their two children two-year-old Archie and their second child, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, who was born almost a month ago.

Guests have reportedly been told that a new date for a larger event will be fixed for September.
