Prince Harry has 'felt Diana's presence' more since Megxit and says she would be proud

Prince Harry says he feels his mum Princess Diana's presence "more than ever" since he quit the royal family and started a new life in the US.

The Duke of Sussex spoke about his late mum in his latest TV interview, saying he believes she's helped him get set up with Meghan Markle and their children Archie and Lilibet.

Asked if he felt her presence, he replied "it's constant, it has been over the past two years, more so than every before.

"It's almost like she's done her bit with my brother and now she's very much helping me.

"She's got him set up now she's helping get me set up, that's what it feels like. He's got his kids, I've got my kids. The circumstances are very different.

"I feel her presence in almost everything I do now. But definitely more so in the last two years than every before, no question.

"She's watching over us. I'm sure she's proud of us."

He also said he speaks to his children about her, calling her Grandma Diana - the same way Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis refer to her.

He said: "I don't tell him all the stuff that happened but certainly that this is Grandma Diana and we've got a couple of pictures of her around the house."

Harry also spoke about his recent trip to the UK to meet the Queen and confirmed he is hoping to return for her Jubilee celebrations in June.

He was asked if he planned to return to the UK for the Jubilee celebrations, which take place in June, with his wife Meghan and children Archie and Lilibet.

But he said: "I don't know yet. There's lots of things: security issues and everything else.

"So this is what I'm trying to do, trying to make it possible that, you know, I can get my kids to meet [the Queen]."

Recalling the secret UK trip last week, he said: "It was great, it was really nice to see her in some element of privacy, which was nice.

"I haven't had a chance to go back to the UK for a couple a years apart from those times, once for my grandfather's funeral and once for unveiling a statue of my mum.

"Being with her, it was great.

"It was just so nice to see her … She’s on great form. She's always got a great sense of humour with me and I'm just making sure she's protected and got the right people around her."

Both Meghan and I had tea with her and it was really nice to catch up with her."

When asked the best thing about her, he said: "Her sense of humour and her ability to see the humour in so many situations.

"We have a really special relationship, we talk about things that she can't talk about with anybody else."
