Prince Harry flies home to LA and misses Queen's 95th birthday to be reunited with Meghan

Prince Harry has reportedly left the UK and returned home to America, just days after laying his grandfather Prince Philip to rest.

The Duke of Sussex headed back to Los Angeles to be reunited with his pregnant wife Meghan Markle and their one-year-old son Archie, according to The Mirror.

Due to coronavirus restrictions, Harry spent most of his time back in the UK quarantining at Frogmore Cottage before attending Prince Philip's funeral in at Windsor on Saturday.

Sources said that Harry wouldn't hang around in the UK following the funeral and according to the MailOnline, his car has been seen arriving at his home in Montecito.

Harry is believed to have flown into Los Angeles on an American Airlines flight and has been reunited with his family but has to serve a period of isolation due to the travelling.

That means Harry did not stay at Windsor to celebrate the Queen's 95th birthday on Wednesday.

It was always expected that his return to the UK would be a brief one.

Pregnant Meghan is expecting a baby girl in the summer, and did not travel with the Duke back to England.

The Duchess did send a handwritten note and a wreath, paying her respects to Philip from across the Atlantic.

Harry will now begin a second 10-day quarantine, even though he does not have to with an exemption for those travelling due to 'urgent family matters' permitted.

His return to the UK was the first time he had seen his family since he and Meghan quit royal duties last year.

Harry had not spoken to most of the family since his bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey last month.

But he will be a broken man who will need the support of loving wife upon his return, according to his late mother's butler Paul Burrell.

He told Closer magazine: "Harry's world was torn apart when he left the UK and moved to California last year - and now he's faced with the consequences.

"Being back in the UK, seeing his family - the family he has criticised - is extremely difficult. Seeing his beloved granny, the Queen, and to face his father and brother would not be easy.

"Even submerging himself back into the House of Windsor and the buildings that hold so many memories.

"It will have stirred up all kinds of painful emotions for him. He will really have felt the impact of the decision he's made now and it'll hit home."
