Prince Harry branded 'ruthlessly cruel' by royal biographer accusing him of 'lying'

A royal biographer has lashed out at Prince Harry over his recent interview, branding him "ruthlessly cruel" and accusing him of "lying" about Meghan Markle telling him to have therapy.

The Duke of Sussex has been accused of "throwing the royal family under the bus" again in a new podcast interview.

During the chat with Dax Shepard, Prince Harry spoke about his mental health and described his royal family life as "a mix between The Truman Show and being in a zoo".

Royal biographer Angela Levin joined Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard on Good Morning Britain today as she said: "He's being incredibly rude again."

Accusing him of being "disloyal", she also suggested that he was lying about Meghan being behind his choice to get therapy.

Claiming she had "interviewed him in length in 2017", Angela said that she had asked him whether Meghan had been behind his decision to get therapy.

"He said, 'No, it was William, he was the one who saved me," she explained. "Either he told me something that was not true or he's saying something not true now."

Fuming about his interview, Angela said: "I think it's terrible, it's absolutely disgusting, to be honest... I have to say that I don't think it's very good that you don't let your son have any contact with your family.

"It is unspeakably, ruthlessly cruel."

As Kate suggested that Prince Harry hadn't meant to point the finger at his family, Angela disagreed.

"I think he knows exactly what he wants to say and he wants to hurt them to punish them," she said. "I think that they can't trust him anymore.

"I think it's shocking and terribly upsetting."

This comes after host Ben criticised Prince Harry for "pointing the finger" again at his dad, suggesting that it was not the time "just weeks after his dad buried his dad".

He added: "He's been a parent for five minutes, what's he doing talking about being a parent, telling people - that's the thing I find really, really difficult.

"The thing we really liked about Harry was that he was so normal and down to earth and there's something that has happened. His father buried his own father just a few weeks ago! I can't imagine how impossibly difficult that has been for the whole family."
