Prince Harry blocked by Princess Anne's hat feather - and fans claim it was 'deliberate'

Prince Harry might have got a better view of King Charles' Coronation if he had stayed at home - as Princess Anne's hat was blocking his view.

The Duke of Sussex was sat in the third row alongside Princess Eugenie's husband Jack Brooksbank and Princess Alexandra - the cousin of the late Queen who hasn't had a working royal engagement in a decade.

With wife Meghan Markle staying at home in California with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, Harry rocked up to Westminster Abbey on his own.

Harry was seen chatting and joking with Jack, even revealing that he was going to leave out "quarter to four", according to a lip reader.

During the ceremony, viewers started to notice that Harry's face was being blocked by Anne's giant read feather - with some audaciously suggesting it may have been done on purpose.

People flocked to Twitter after noticing that Harry's view was blocked by the feather.

"Princess Anne's hat blocking views of Prince Harry during God Save The King… I AM SCREAMING," tweeted one person.

Another added: "Prince Harry is hidden behind the feather on Princess Anne's hat... last time it was a candle"

"Did they make Harry sit behind Anne on purpose so her silly hat would hide him," asked a third.

While a fourth tweeted: "In the good old days on Twitter. Princess Anne’s hat would have its own account by now - running handy interference on Harry, too"

It's brought back memories of the 'candle scandal' during the late Queen's funeral last year - as Meghan was blocked from the TV cameras.

During the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, several people took to Twitter to question whether Meghan had been positioned behind a candle on purpose.

Meghan was sat next to her husband and Princess Beatrice in the second row, behind Queen Consort Camilla, but her face was blocked by a large yellow candle.

For much of the State Funeral service, only her black hat could be visible to those watching on television at home.

There is no suggestion the placing of one of four candles surrounding Her Majesty's coffin was intentionally positioned to obscure Meghan's face.

It might have added to tension that was already seemingly there between Harry and Anne.

According to body language expert Judi James, the Duke of Sussex started staring at Anne and made an unusual gesture.

She told The Mirror: "His eye-gaze fixed on his aunt Anne who was chatting in the seats in front and then his head dropped down."

Judi also said nervy Harry showed 'subliminal signs of tensions' as he waited for King Charles to arrive.

She continued: "As Harry waited in his seat for his father and brother to arrive there were some subliminal signs of building tension or anxiety.

"He sucked his lips in and licked them and his blink rate increased, suggesting adrenalin prompted by nerves."
