Prince Harry 'anxious' coronavirus could impact Invictus Games

Prince Harry is reportedly being kept up to date on the coronavirus outbreak as he is concerned it could impact the Invictus Games.

Sporting events in Italy are already being played behind closed doors and there are concerns other large public events will also have to be limited if the virus continues to spread.

The Games are held each year for wounded service men and women and are set to begin in May, reports Mirror Online .

But events for more than 5,000 people have already been banned in France and it looks possible The Netherlands - where this year's games are held - could go the same way.

A source  told The Sun  : "Harry, like everyone else in the team involved in planning the Games, is very mindful about the impact coronavirus could have on the event.

“But Harry has been clear that the safety and welfare of those taking part comes before anything else.

Harry and Meghan’s use of Sussex Royal brand ‘being reviewed’

"So this will be at the forefront of the minds of those drawing up an action plan to deal with the situation."

Harry, the Duke of Sussex, and his wife Meghan are currently carrying out their last engagements as working members of the royal family having taken the decision to emigrate to Canada with their young son Archie.
