Prince William and Harry are to give separate speeches when a statue of their mum Princess Diana is unveiled later this year, it has been reported.
A statue of the late 'people's princess' is to be revealed in July on what would have been the 60th birthday of Princess Diana, who died in 1997.
While brothers William, 39, and Harry, 36, are to stand beside each other, it is being claimed that they will not give a joint address and will instead make separate speeches.
It is understood that there is still a rift between the pair following Harry's decision to quit the royal family with wife Meghan before sitting down to do a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Harry and Willian were reunited for the first time at the recent funeral of their grandad, Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh after Harry made claims that his brother was 'trapped' by the institution.
He also added in the interview that while he still loves his brother, they are both on "different paths."
A source told The Sun :“They will both move heaven and earth to be there. They commissioned the statue together. It is very important for them.
“There is, of course, hope the memory of Diana can repair their relationship but that seems a long way off right now."
The source added: “You might have thought they’d go for a joint statement and speech but that’s not the case. Each has insisted on preparing their own."
It is thought that Harry's wife Meghan, 39, who is currently pregnant with her second child won't attend the upcoming event, with the Queen not expected to attend either.
