Prince Harry and Prince William's fiery feud 'could continue for years', according to close pal

The alleged rift between Prince Harry and Prince William will likely continue for years to come, a close friend of the Prince of Wales has claimed.

The feuding brothers reportedly did not converse with one another during their father, King Charles' historic coronation on May 6.

Harry made a fleeting visit to the UK to see Charles and Camilla's official crowning before he jetted off back home to Meghan and his two kids in Montecito, California. William and Kate Middleton have allegedly not spoken to the Duke of Sussex since the late Queen Elizabeth II's funeral last September when the trio and Harry's wife Meghan Markle greeted mourners at Windsor castle, the Mirror reports.

It appears that things are at an all time low for the two siblings and that the claims made by Harry in his controversial memoir Spare only created further unresolved issues which could last for many years.

The source told the Daily Beast : "Put it this way: I don’t think anyone expects Harry to get an invite to William’s Coronation."

They added: "It’s very clear that William and Kate are now extremely important members of the institution, so their view on Harry, which is basically the further away the better, will have to be taken into account."

Charles' monumental coronation on May 6 saw over 2,000 people attend the service at Westminster Abbey which was conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Harry, who stepped down from his royal duties alongside Meghan in January 2020 was placed in the third row of the ceremony and did not have a role on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Meghan Markle did not attend the event which fell on the same day as the couple's son Archie's fourth birthday and instead chose to remain in the US to care for their two children.

Harry flew back to California the same evening of the Coronation to ensure he didn't miss his eldest child's birthday celebrations.

The source told The Sunday Times how the Prince of Wales is already looking into how he can modernise his own Coronation in the future, after celebrating his father's crowning moment.

They said: "He is really thinking, how do we make his Coronation feel most relevant in the future.

"He is mindful of the fact that in 20 years' time, or whenever his time comes, how can the Coronation be modern but also unifying to the nation and the Commonwealth? I think his coronation will look and feel quite different."

William has allegedly expressed his desire to have a different "look and feel" to his father's two-hour service at Westminster Abbey, with a special emphasis on wanting it to be "modern" and "relevant".

It is believed the Prince of Wales would like to get rid of the "homage to the people" included in Charles' coronation on May 6 which was changed at the last minute after it sparked public backlash.
