Prince Harry and Prince William have ‘strained’ relationship, no communication ahead of coronation

As Prince Harry gets set to attend his father’s coronation on May 6, reports indicate his relationship remains tense with brother Prince William.

Despite Buckingham Palace breaking the news last week that Prince Harry would be in attendance for the crowning ceremony, the riff between him and his family was evidenced by the fact he did not see them while visiting London last month.

Now, a palace insider tells People Magazine that “things are strained” between the brothers.

There’s reportedly been no communication between Harry, 38, and William, 40, and the insider says their attendance at the ceremony is not expected to smooth over their relationship. “I don’t think the coronation and a big conversation can be conflated,” the source shared.

Of course, it was earlier this year that Prince Harry aired some of the family’s dirty laundry in his salacious memoir, “Spare.”

The book detailed, among other private moments of the Royal Family, an account of an argument Harry had with his older brother that turned violent.

William reportedly called Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, “difficult,” “rude” and “abrasive,” to which Harry responded that William was “parrot(ing) the press narrative” about his wife.

“He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor,” Harry wrote. “I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”

Prince Harry has publicly said that he is open to having conversations with his family to try to mend relationships, but that “the ball is in their court.”

Although Harry has had no communication with his brother, King Charles has reportedly reached out and the two are said to have had “positive conversations,” according to a source.
