Prince Harry and Meghan snubbed as royal family roll out their new 'Fab Four'

An expert has claimed that both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry appear to have been snubbed as the royal family roll out their new 'Fab Four'.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were once known as that phrase alongside Prince William and Kate Middleton after Meghan and Harry tied the knot.

The gap left behind after they moved to the US with their son Archie last March has remained vacant - until now, according to reports.

The Daily Star reports that Prince Charles and William have been hailed as 'the right men for the job' as they travelled to Glasgow for the COP26 conference without the Queen over the weekend.

The two future heirs to the throne were joined by their wives, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge.

Her Majesty was set to attend and host a diplomatic reception but announced last week she had to miss the important event after receiving advice from her medical team to take two weeks off to rest.

The monarch recently spent a night in hospital following a recent health scare and is now reported to be taking it easy to recuperate at Windsor Castle.

However, the four royals stepping up to the plate in place of the Queen are being called the 'new Fab Four'.

Speaking on the Palace Confidential podcast, royal expert Rebecca English said: "This is something that Buckingham Palace were very keen to get across, that the Queen made this decision very regretfully and she's recording a video message at Windsor Castle at the end of this week, to be played to delegates at the opening of COP26.

"She's made very clear that she wants the summit to be a success and that meaningful action will come out of it.

"Of course, they are still rolling out the royal big guns, we've got the new Fab Four so to speak, we've got Charles, Camilla, we've got William and Kate all out there to charm delegates and represent Britain PLC.

"Charles and William have pretty strong eco-credentials of their own, so they're definitely the right men for the job."

Meghan and Harry moved to California after stepping down as senior members of the royal family.

They now share a daughter together, Lilibet Diana, who was born in June, as well as Archie, now two years old.
