Prince Harry and Meghan' Markle's plans to be at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations would be a "fresh headache" for the royal family, it is claimed.
Next year's Jubilee celebrations run on a four-day bank holiday from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June will take place at Buckingham Palace , marking the Queen's 70 year reign.
According to insiders however, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's plans to attend would be awkward and cause a "fresh headache" for the royal family.
The Sun reports that there will be many complications if the couple attend.
An insider said: “Harry wants to be there. It is already causing a headache and is going to be very awkward"
“Where will they be positioned if they turn up? What events can they attend? Will we put them on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the flypast?"
They added: “This is a celebration for the Queen’s 70 years of service to the nation and should not be overshadowed."
Harry will return to the UK on July 1st to unveil a statue honouring his late mum Princess Diana which also marks her 60th birthday.
Royal editor for the Mirror, Russell Myers told ITV’s Lorraine stand in host Cat Deeley today that Harry, 36, wants to attend the event.
Of course the impending birth of his and Meghan's second child could mean they don't make it out of California.
Following their recent interviews with Oprah Winfrey accusing the royal family of racism and neglect, Harry and Meghan's relationship with the rest of the royals has been strained.
Russell Myers said: "The thing I'm being told is they still really want to be there, both of them. Certainly, William and Kate will be there.
"But whether Harry can fly over there because the baby is imminently due this summer… it will certainly be in the next couple of weeks.”
Relations have been strained between Harry and his brother William since he stepped back from his royal duties last year and moved with Meghan Markle to live in the US.
The two were recently seen chatting after their grandfather Prince Philip's funeral.
Russell added: "It's been talked about for so many months now, this deteriorating relationship.
"And the issue is that Harry is expecting a second child - a baby girl on the way - and whether they will attend together or whether they will make separate speeches.”
“This is a big deal because the boys - William and Harry - have been working on this statue for quite a long time.
“I think 2017, they started putting the initial plans together. And will they, won't they be seen together?”
