Prince Harry and Meghan Oprah interview: Trailer released

Prince Harry has opened up about his fears for Meghan in another new trailer released by CBS for the eagerly anticipated 'Oprah with Meghan and Harry' interview.

In the clip above, Harry reveals he had fears Meghan's battle with British tabloids echoed that of a similar situation experienced by his mother, Princess Diana.

The new trailer for the Oprah interview focuses mainly on the Prince and his thoughts following the couple stepping back from the Royal Family in January 2020, and moving permanently to the United States.

Harry opens up to the veteran TV host in the 30-second clip, saying: "For me, I'm just really relieved to and happy to be sitting here talking to you, with my wife, by my side."

Harry speaks to Oprah Winfrey in a still from the teaser trailer for their two-hour interview due to air on March 7 (CBS)

The doctored clip then shows Harry reflecting on the similarities between Meghan's press battle to that of his mothers: "I can't begin to imagine what it must have been like for her (Princess Diana), going through this process, all by herself, all those years ago."

The clip then cuts to Harry gripping Meghan's hand, before he adds: "It's been unbelievably tough for the two of us, but at least we had each other."

In an earlier teaser trailer for the Oprah interview, another clip shows Harry saying: "I was worried about history repeating itself."

Also during that trailer, Oprah asks Meghan is she was "silent or silenced" when reflecting on her time as part of the Royal Family.

Last week, Harry also opened up to James Cordon about his experiences with the British tabloids, branding them "toxic" as the duo held an informal chat with English tea aboard an open-top bus tour of Los Angeles.

He explained his decision was never to walk away from the Royal Family, but rather to step back to protect his own family: "It was a really difficult environment, as I think a lot of people saw.

"We all know what the British press can be like, and it was destroying my mental health."

The two-hour interview between Harry and Meghan with Oprah is set to air on CBS on March 7.

It is not yet known who will air the show in the UK.
