Harry and Meghan news latest: Justin Trudeau says most Canadians would welcome the couple

Justin Trudeau has offered his support to Harry and Meghan and said most Canadians would welcome the couple making their home there.

But the Canadian Prime Minister said further talks are needed over the costs of security for Prince Harry and Meghan's move.

The Queen has agreed a "period of transition" in which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are expected to reunite in Vancouver this week, will split their time between Canada and the UK.

Following talks with senior royals at Sandringham on Monday, the Queen said she was "entirely supportive" of the couple's desire for a new role but "would have preferred" them to remain full-time working royals. She said she expected final decision to be made in the coming days.
