Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will stop using 'Sussex Royal' brand

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will stop using their Sussex Royal brand after dramatically quitting their senior positions in the Royal Family last month.

The pair had hoped to continue using the name but the Queen barred its use during talks at the Sandringham Estate.

They reportedly spent a huge amount of money trademarking the Sussex Royal brand.

A spokeswoman for the couple no longer intended to use the term Sussex Royal in any further material after Spring 2020, MirrorOnline reports.

"While The Duke and Duchess are focused on plans to establish a new non-profit organisation, given the specific UK Government rules surrounding use of the word Royal, it has been therefore agreed that their non-profit organisation, when it is announced this Spring, will not be named Sussex Royal Foundation," she said.

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use 'Sussex Royal' in any territory post Spring 2020."

Harry and Meghan will embark on a new chapter in North America, but sources have stressed they "will be in the United Kingdom regularly"

They will retain the same charitable goals supporting causes from the Commonwealth to mental health.

The Palace has confirmed Meghan and Harry will be closing their Buckingham Palace office, meaning their 15 employees face the axe as the couple prepare to move their lives to North America.

Harry will keep his military ranks of Major, Lieutenant Commander, and Squadron Leader but will not use them during the 12 month trial period.

New details of when we will see the couple, who are currently in Canada with their son Archie, next have also emerged.

Harry will join Jon Bon Jovi as he re-records his song Unbroken with the Invictus Games Choir on February 28.

On March 5, Meghan will join Harry to attend the Endeavour Fund Awards.

The following day, Harry will join Lewis Hamilton at the official opening of the Silverstone Experience, a brand-new immersive museum that tells the story of the past, present and future of British motor racing.

The couple will also attend the Mountbatten Music Festival on March 7.
