Prince Harry and Meghan Markle superfan travels to from Weston-super-Mare to Windsor hoping royal baby will arrive on his birthday

A Weston-super-Mare pensioner has travelled to Windsor Castle with a wish that the royal baby is born on his birthday.

Terry Hutt, who turns 84 today (April 30), is a superfan of the royal family who is often seen in Windsor wearing his trademark Union Jack-emblazoned suit.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are expected to announce the birth of their first child any day now.

Terry told ITV: "When any of them have babies they seem to have it when my birthday comes along - they just keep on missing.

"My wife allows me to come, we've been together 57 years and so I've got a good partner."

Speaking about the prospect of sharing a birthday with a royal baby, he added: "I couldn't wish for a better present."

He has even written a new baby boy and girl card to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

In April 2018, Terry camped outside the Lindo wing of St Mary’s Hospital to catch a glimpse of Prince William and Kate Middleton with their newborn baby Prince Louis.

He spent weeks outside the hospital in anticipation, sleeping each night on a park bench nearby.

Terry missed the public unveiling of Prince George in 2013 because he was on the toilet and hopes not to be as unlucky this time around.
