Meghan Markle and Prince Harry 'still set to make millions' despite Sussex Royal ban

The Queen's decision to force Harry and Meghan to stop using their Sussex Royal brand will not hit them too hard in the pocket, it is claimed - with billionaires reportedly queuing up to book them for events.

The monarch, 93, has reportedly told the couple that the word 'royal' must be removed from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's branding - even though they've spent thousands on it after quitting the royal family.

Harry and Meghan had set up a 'Sussex Royal' website and attempted to register the brand as a trademark across the world.

However, their plan is now said to be in tatters after the Queen refused to let them use the word 'royal' as a result of 'Megxit'.

This will not have a huge impact on their earning potential, however, it is claimed, because of their 'global reach' and links to the rich and famous.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun: "Even though rebranding will be costly, they will be in demand like no other couple.

"The contacts that they have - whether it's Jennifer Lopez, the Clooneys, Oprah - all of this with the possibilities of speaking engagements, once they get started, they will be among the world's most high profile individuals."

Harry and Meghan are already developing links with investment banking giants as they plan to rake in millions.

Earlier this week it was reported that billionaire business moguls are desperate to bring the couple to play a starring role at the World Economic Forum in Davos next year.

A Royal source earlier said: "As The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are stepping back as senior Members of the Royal Family and will work towards financial independence, use of the word ‘Royal’, in this context, needed to be reviewed.

"Discussions are still ongoing.

"As part of the process to transition The Duke and Duchess of Sussex into their new chapter -  planning has been well underway around the launch of their new non profit organisation.

"Details will be shared in due course.”

The couple have agreed to avoid using the 'Sussex Royal' name in their new commercial ventures, it is claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Instagram page recently surpassed William and Kate's Kensington Palace account, with 11.2million people liking the Sussex Royal page.

Harry and Meghan are pursuing 'financial independence' after their decision to step back from royal duties.
