Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spotted giggling and smiling on kiss-cam at NBA game

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted smiling and giggling together on a kiss cam at a Los Angeles basketball game just days after it was announced that the Duchess of Sussex would be skipping the Coronation.

The lovebirds laughed awkwardly while they were caught on camera at the NBA basketball game last night in front of 20,000 people, the Mirror reports. Despite Harry's apparent enthusiasm, Meghan seemingly declined a kiss from her husband as he leaned in for a smooch.

The Royal couple were at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown LA when they appeared on the jumbotron. Harry had been chatting to another spectator as they appeared on the screen as Meghan waved and smiled at the camera.

Thousands of fans were clapping and cheering them along to kiss as Harry leaned in but Meghan seemed reluctant and put a hand on his arm instead. The Duke was seen grimacing in jest as Meghan laughed while she politely rejected his kiss.

The couple's exchange took place as the LA Lakers played the Memphis Grizzlies last night in a playoff game and came just days after it was reported that Harry would be attending the King's Coronation without Meghan.

The Prince will fly back to the UK for the monumental event on May 6 to support his father while Meghan will remain at home with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The Duchess is planning a party for their son who's fourth birthday falls on the same day as the Coronation.

The announcement came after weeks of reports and speculation over whether or not the couple would attend following their very public ongoing dispute with The Firm after they stepped down as royals.

The couple delighted fans at the game as Meghan was spotted for the second time in public in a matter of days after she made a surprise appearance at her friend, Misan Harriman's TED talk.

Misan posted a photo on Instagram showing Meghan on the big screen as she smiled while introducing her long-term pal. He wrote: "The Duchess of Sussex was kind enough to introduce me unto the stage for my @ted Thank you for the support Meg."

It was also Meghan's first appearance since it was reported that she personally wrote a letter to the King over her concerns of racism within the Royal Family.

The Duchess of Sussex is understood to have sent the correspondence during the aftermath of the couple's bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey where she claimed that comments had been made about the colour of their unborn son Archie's skin.

During the interview, Meghan alleged that a member of the royal family had speculated about how dark Archie's skin would be before he was born.

The shocking claims in March 2021 plunged the monarchy into crisis as the Windsors faced racism allegations. It's understood that Meghan's letter was sent in response to a letter from Charles, in which he expressed his sorrow over the split within the family.

The letters also reportedly make clear which senior royal made the comment, with both Meghan and Charles acknowledging that the remark was not made in a malicious way.
