Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s forthcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey will air on ITV, it has been confirmed.
Oprah with Meghan and Harry will be broadcast in the UK on Monday 8 March at 9pm, the day after it is shown in the US.
ITV reportedly struck an estimated £1 million deal to air the programme, beating out Sky to the rights.
A preview clip of the interview, which will air on CBS in the US, was released on Sunday (28 February).
In the interview, Harry says that he stepped back from royal duties because he feared “history repeating itself” following the death of his mother, Princess Diana.
In a second clip, he adds: “I’m just really relieved and happy to be sitting here talking to you with my wife by my side because I can’t begin to imagine what it must have been like for her [Diana] going through this process by herself all those years ago.

“Because it’s been unbelievably tough for the two of us but at least we have each other.”
In the teaser, Winfrey is seen telling the couple that they’ve said “some pretty shocking things”.
The conversation is said to cover subjects such as life as a royal, marriage, parenting, and the handling of life under intense public pressure.
“Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family,” CBS said.
Oprah with Meghan and Harry airs Monday 8 March at 9pm on ITV.
