Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced the birth of their daughter and revealed her name.
Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, known as Lili for short, was born on Friday, June 4 at 11.40am in California.
A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said Lili's name is a nod to both the Queen and Princess Diana.
They said: "It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet 'Lili' Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world.
"She weighed 7lbs 11oz (3.5kg). Both mother and child are healthy and well, and settling in at home."
They added: "Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet.
"Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.
"The Duke and Duchess thank you for your warm wishes and prayers as they enjoy this special time as a family."
Harry and Meghan also paid tribute to Doria Ragland in their daughter's name, it has been suggested.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain today, journalist and presenter Afua Adom said the name was a nod of affection to Her Majesty, but also said it was "not just about being named after the Queen", reports The Mirror.
Joined by royal biographer Angela Levin, who was highly critical of the name, she said: "Lilibet is such a pretty name, it's such a cute name. It is not just about being named after the Queen.
"I think it's a bit of a nod to Meghan's mother Doria as well, because Meghan's mother's nickname for her is flower, so you've got Lili in there for Lilibet."

But host Susanna Reid wasn't convinced, suggesting it was "a bit of a stretch".
"It is a bit of a stretch," Afua conceded. "But it's also a bit of a stretch to say that the Queen is now sitting up in bed with her egg and soldiers, blindsided and disappointed and fuming that her great grandchild is named after her!"
This comes after royal biographer Angela called Meghan and Harry "rude" for naming their daughter Lilibet.
"I don't think it's a good idea, I think it's quite rude to her Majesty the Queen," she stated, leaving host Susanna stunned. "It was a very private nickname from her husband, who hasn't been dead for very long."
When Susanna pointed out that it hadn't exactly been private as everyone knew of the Queen's nickname, Angela said: "It was his name, it was his special name. I think it's quite demeaning."
Richard Madeley interjected and asked whether the Queen wasn't happy about the news.
"Not after what's happened, she's desperately unhappy," Angela insisted. "Harry did mention to his grandma that he was going to name his daughter after her but I bet she didn't know it was going to be Lilibet."
And while the Royal Family have all shared messages to congratulate the family, Piers Morgan also referred to the baby news.
He told his 7.9 million Twitter followers he wasn't going to comment on the royal baby news because he was respecting Meghan and Harry's " constant pleas for privacy." You can read more on what the former GMB presenter said here.
