The details of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first series for Netflix have been announced.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that the couple had signed a deal for their production company Archewell to make multiple projects with the streaming service.
On Tuesday (6 April), the first of those projects was announced by Netflix as they revealed that a documentary series about the Invictus Games is on its way.
The series, titled Heart of Invictus, will follow athletes as they prepare to compete in next year’s tournament.
“Prince Harry has been a champion of the Invictus Games since its inception so it’s fitting that Archewell’s first Netflix series will spotlight and celebrate the competition’s amazing athletes,” Netflix’s tweet reads.

The Invictus Games is a sporting event for wounded, injured or sick veterans of the armed forces. It was launched by Harry in 2014.
As part of Archewell’s deal with Netflix, Harry and Meghan are expected to make documentaries, docuseries, feature films, scripted shows and children’s programming for the platform.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said that their work with Netflix would be focused on “creating content that informs but also gives hope”.
“Our lives, both independent of each other, and as a couple have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit: of courage, resilience, and the need for connection,” their statement read.
“As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us, as is powerful storytelling through a truthful and relatable lens. We are pleased to work with Ted [Sarandos] and the team at Netflix whose unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action.”
