The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have recruited a social media manager to help boost their online profile following the success of their Instagram account.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan are said to have recruited the online specialist to boost their popularity globally.
The new parents launched their Instagram account @sussexroyal in April and already have more than 8.5 million followers - just 700,000 fewer than the 9.2 million users who follow the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on @kensingtonroyal since it was set up in 2015.
The account broke the world record for the fastest time to gain one million followers on Instagram in just five hours and 45 minutes.
A Royal source told Mail Online : "Meghan and Harry have appointed a new member of staff to work on their social media accounts - starting in time for Meghan's return from maternity leave."
Just last month the Royal pair took to Instagram to share unseen images of their wedding last May, on the same day Kate was pictured on the Kensington Royal account at the Chelsea Flower Show.
And the couple posted a snap of baby Archie's feet for Mother's Day - a picture which has alone amounted over two million likes.
A spokesman for the Duke and Duchess declines to comment on the appointment
The couple have already appointed Sara Latham, a former adviser to Hillary Clinton, as their communications secretary and Julie Burley as senior communications officer.
