Prince George was 'far too spoiled' on his birthday, claims Prince William

The Duke of Cambridge has admitted what many of us already guessed to be true: Prince George received far too many presents on his birthday.

The third in line to the throne turned three on Thursday and, as is tradition, a new series of professional photographs were released to the public to mark the occasion.

The photos, shot by the photographer Matt Porteous, show the young royal standing on a swing engraved with the names of his parents and walking around the grounds of the family’s Norfolk home. However, one photo of Prince George and the family dog Lupo prompted a warning from the RSPCA reminding pet owners to resist giving their dog ice cream despite the hot weather.

Prince George's life is world's away from the average toddler. His family home in Norfolk is reported to have ten bedrooms along with a swimming pool and tennis court, which may come in use sooner than expected given that he has already started tennis lessons.

On his second birthday, the toddler received a £18,000 cottage on wheels. His father's comments about his third birthday summed up this extravagance.

During a visit to the America's Cup in Portsmouth on Sunday, Prince William was asked by a member of the public what presents his son received for his birthday.

“I’m not telling, he got too many things, he’s far too spoiled,” the Duke replied.
