Prince George's godfather Hugh Grosvenor rekindles romance with long-term love

The super-rich Duke of Westminster has rekindled his relationship with long-term love Harriet Tomlinson.

Hugh Grosvenor – worth £9.3billion and a pal of Prince William – split with property and recruitment consultant Harriet last October.

However, the pair – he is 28 and she is 27 – are together again and pals say the relationship is stronger than ever.

A source said: “Hugh and Harriet have always had a bit of an on-off relationship.

“But things are most definitely back on now and they couldn’t be happier. Hugh is absolutely besotted with her and it’s easy to see why. She’s a lovely girl.”

Hugh, the 7th Duke of Westminster, inherited the family fortune when his father died three years ago.

He is godfather to Prince William’s son George and owns more land in Britain than the Queen.

Hugh and Harriet met while pupils at £6,000-a-term private day school Ellesmere College in Shropshire.

Her parents live in a Victorian semi-detached house in Chester, just a few miles from the Duke’s sprawling family seat, Eaton Hall.

Harriet visited them last week and said of her romance with Hugh: “I’m sorry, I can’t comment.”
