Prince George’s ecstatic reaction to England goal melts fans’ hearts

Prince George with his father, Prince William, after England’s goal

Prince George has melted the nation’s hearts with his wholesome celebration after England went 1-0 up in the Euro 2020 final against Italy.

The seven-year-old royal, who is among the 60,000 fans in the Wembley crowd, wore a three-piece suit as he sat with his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

After Luke Shaw put the Three Lions in the lead in the first two minutes of the game (before England went on to lose on penalties), the young prince threw his head back and laughed delightedly, and was seen grinning from ear to ear with his arms outstretched. He then turned to his dad with a huge, beaming smile on his face and was seen giving his mum a hug.

People couldn’t handle the wholesome moment and took to Twitter.

One said the young prince was England’s lucky charm.

Another had a case of cuteness overload.

While one person said they could watch the reaction on replay without getting bored.

Despite England’s dream start, Italy scored in the second half, taking the game to 1-1. After a goalless extra time, the Italians won on penalties.

We hope that Prince George has plenty more cause for celebration as he continues to support England in the future.
