Prince George is all smiles as he dons England football shirt in photographs to mark sixth birthday

Prince George is all smiles as he dons an England football shirt to celebrate his sixth birthday.

The three new pictures released by Kensington Palace were all recently taken by Kate, Duchess of Cambridge , and are being shared to mark his birthday on Monday.

One photo was taken as he lies playfully in the garden of their grand West London home in the football shirt, whilst in a second he beams for the camera .

The third picture shows the young Prince wearing a green polo shirt and striped blue and white shorts on a family holiday.

Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, who is third in line to the throne, was born in the private Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, at 4.24pm on July 22 2013, weighing 8lb 6oz.

Within 24-hours he was making his public debut with the world's eyes watching on the hospital steps with proud parents Kate and William.

Later this year, George will move into Year 2 at Thomas's Battersea School where younger sister Charlotte will join him in her first year.
