Prince George is a 'rascal' who plays tricks on his younger siblings, says expert

Prince George is "full of mischief" and always playing pranks on his younger siblings, a royal expert has claimed.

Royal author Duncan Larcombe said the almost eight-year-old is a rascal who is full of beans and full of fun.

But he added that his parents Prince William and Kate Middleton are keen for the third in line to the throne to stay down-to-earth after they promised a normal upbringing for their kids.

Duncan told OK! : "Although Prince George might be future King of the Castle, he's not King of the Castle yet.

"He's not Little Lord Fauntleroy. He's a rascal (almost) eight-year-old - full of mischief and always playing tricks and pranks on his younger sister and brother.

"Hopefully George can enjoy all the benefits of Royal life, but without the extraordinary, weird impact of growing up in a goldfish bowl. They will have to explain the extraordinary circumstances he's been born into and hope, as a result, his head doesn't pop and he doesn't become a complete lunatic, as has happened to some members of his family."

Last month, a new book claimed that the youngster learned he would one day become King last year when he celebrated his seventh birthday.

In a new chapter of his book Battle of Brothers, royal author Robert Lacey describes how protective dad William wanted George to have a more normal life for as long as possible and always intended to break the news to his son gradually to give him "the precious gift of normality."

Although William has not explicitly stated when he told his son he was the heir to the throne, it's thought the conversation was had "sometime around the boy's seventh birthday" in summer 2020.

Lacey writes: "William's aim as a father, the prince stressed, was to give his son a 'normal family upbringing' enabling the monarchy to 'stay relevant and keep up with modern times'."

Prince George's latest public appearance came just last night when he attended the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy at Wembley with his parents.

There, royal fans spotted a sweet moment between Prince George and his mum, the Duchess of Cambridge, during the tense match- and they could not have been more thrilled.

After England scored their goal inside just two minutes, the youngster was caught on camera giving his mother and his dad Prince William a big hug in a rarely seen display of affection - delighting royal watchers.

But after Italy equalised and England went on to lose a penalty shoot-out, the young prince looked gutted and summed up the mood of the country as the Three Lions fell at the final hurdle.
