A vintage car once owned by Prince Chula Chakrabongse is expected to fetch more than 2 million baht at auction next Saturday.

A 1960 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud supplied new to the late prince is one of the luxury cars to be sold at auction by Coy's at London's Chiswick House on Saturday.

Auctioneers expect the blue sedan to fetch £65,000-£85,000 (2.8-3.6 million baht).

“We have had considerable interest in this car from collectors and dealers around the world. This is a great opportunity for someone to acquire a fabulous car which has a unique royal connection,” Coys chief executive officer Chris Routledge said in a statement.

Prince Chula was the son of Prince Chakrabongse. He died in Cornwall, England in 1963 at the age of 55.

He and his cousin, late Prince Birabongse Bhanudej, better known as Prince Bira, were enthusiastic fans of motor-racing.
