Prince Charles today told of his joy at the news of his father leaving hospital.
The heir-to-the-throne said he was 'thrilled' about his father's improved health while visiting a coronavirus vaccination centre in north London.
When asked about Prince Philip returning to Windsor Castle, to be reunited with the Queen, he said "I am thrilled about it", while clearly smiling behind his mask.
On a visit with his wife Camilla to the centre at Finsbury Park Mosque in London, Charles, 72, revealed had spoken to the Duke "several times".
Charles was the only member of the royal family to visit Philip, 99, during his hospital stay.

Philip left hospital on Tuesday after being treated for an infection and undergoing heart surgery.
The Duke of Edinburgh was in hospital for a month - his longest ever stay - but he has now been reunited with the Queen.
He was said to be in good spirits as he was discharged, and waved as he arrived home at Windsor Castle for the first time in a month.

After 28 nights as an in-patient, he was brought out of King Edward VII’s Hospital in Marylebone, central London, in a wheelchair, and helped into the back seat of a black BMW at about 10.30am on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace said: "His Royal Highness wishes to thank all the medical staff who looked after him at both King Edward VII’s Hospital and St Bartholomew’s Hospital, and everyone who has sent their good wishes
