Clarence House has published a new photograph of the Prince of Wales hugging his grandson, Prince Louis, to mark the toddler’s second birthday.
The black and white image shows Prince Charles smiling as he holds his youngest grandson close to his chest.
Meanwhile, Louis is pictured wrapping his arms around his grandfather’s neck.
The heartwarming photo was published on Twitter via the official Clarence House account.
“A very Happy Birthday to Prince Louis, who turns two today,” the accompanying message read.
“The young Prince enjoys a hug from his Grandfather, The Prince of Wales,” it adds.
Clarence House has not revealed where the photograph was taken.
Prince Charles is currently isolating in his Scottish home of Birkall, which is where he has also been recovering from Covid-19.
The photo comes after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released four new photographs of Louis to mark his birthday.
In the images, the two-year-old is pictured creating a rainbow poster, following in the footsteps of children across the UK who have been creating rainbow pictures as a symbol of hope during the coronavirus lockdown to put in their windows.
Many royal fans and companies have taken to Twitter to share their birthday wishes to Louis, including London Zoo.
“Happy birthday, Prince Louis!” the tweet read alongside a video of the zoo’s zookeepers singing “Happy Birthday” to the toddler while socially distancing.
