Prince Andrew seems not to be keeping promises over US Epstein investigations

After describing last year as being “quite bumpy” the Queen most likely longed for the time when people filled the streets, waving flags and cheering on a young couple in love.

But that was before her son gave a car crash interview where he called a convicted paedophile’s behaviour “unbecoming”, and a beloved grandchild quit The Firm as his wife fled Britain.

Now, it seems the (less grand) Duke of York has not been keeping promises he made to American investigators who want to speak to him about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

It is claimed he has not bothered to return their calls, and reports suggesting the FBI has received “zero co-operation” from Andrew quite simply beggar belief.

You would have thought he would be keen to make amends.

At least one of Epstein’s victims calls him a liar and prosecutors say more women are coming forward to challenge his version of events.

Andrew vowed to give testimony under oath “if push came to shove and the legal advice was to do so”.

If he is seen to be obstructing law enforcers while happy to go horse riding with the Queen, he will have more than the matter of returning phone calls to be concerned about.
