The Duchess of YorkSarah Ferguson, is a fan of the Netflix series inspired by the British monarchyThe Crown.

Despite this, when Ferguson said she phoned Andy Harries, the series’ executive producer, to offer her royal knowledge, she was cast aside.

Speaking to Town and Country magazine, the duchess mentioned that she wanted to help the show further develop her character, who only made a brief appearance in season four.

“Hello? Where is Fergie?” she jokingly told the outlet. “I said to him [Harries], ‘Why can’t I help my character?’” she adds.

She further told the outlet that her offer of assistance was declined.

Some of her other favorite binged shows are Bridgerton, The Bold Type and Riverdale.

Ferguson divorced Queen Elizabeth II’s son, Prince Andrew, in 1996, but the two have remained close friends and frequently attend public appearances together.

They have two daughters, Princess Beatrice (32) and Princess Eugenie (31), and one grandson, August, who is Eugenie’s son.

Ferguson gave up her HRH title when she divorced Andrew, but she kept her Duchess of York title.

The duchess is also a renowned children’s book author and even dabbles in the YouTube space with her series, “Storytime with Fergie and Friends,” a segment dedicated to reading children’s stories.

On August 2, she is set to release her first novel for adults, titled, Her Heart for a Compass which is said tchronicle a free-spirited woman in 19th century London that rebels against a society where women are expected to conform.

Netflix declined to respond to indy100’s request for comment.
