Prince Andrew 'could be sent to Scotland to rebuild life as Queen holds secret talks'

Prince Andrew could be sent to Scotland to rebuild his life.

The Duke of York could be sent north of the border as the Queen "holds secret talks" on the future of the royal.

Reports state that the Queen has held meetings with her son and other senior royals at Windsor.

The news comes amid a belief that he will never be welcomed back into public life, Birmingham Live reports.

A senior Buckingham Palace source confirmed that discussions are underway to find a new role for him.

The role will reportedly see him moved to Scotland.

A statement read: "Clearly at some point soon, thought will have to be given as to how to support the Duke as, away from the public gaze, he seeks slowly to rebuild his life in a different direction."

A Palace source added: "There is, of course, a real awareness and sensitivity to public feelings.

"There is also recognition that the task of starting to support him as he begins to rebuild his life will be the first step on a long road and one that should not be played out every day in the glare of the public spotlight."

The Queen stripped Andrew of his titles after the Virginia Giuffre scandal.

Andrew is widely regarded as Her Majesty's favourite son.
