The UK High Court has been called upon to help secure evidence ahead of Prince Andrew’s civil sex abuse case.

Virginia Giuffre is seeking unspecified damages as she sues the Queen’s son for allegedly sexually assaulting her when she was a teenager in a civil case brought against the royal in the US.

Prince Andrew has vehemently denied the accusations brought against him.

Now Judge Lewis A Kaplan has written to both the Senior Master of the Queen’s Bench Division and the Australian Attorney General for help in obtaining evidence for the civil claim, court documents revealed.

Among the requests, the judge has asked for Andrew’s former assistant Robert Olney to be questioned.

He wants to see if the former assistant can shed some light on the duke’s relationship with Maxwell, Epstein and Ms Giuffre as well as his travel to Epstein’s homes.

In a separate letter to the High Court, Judge Kaplan made a further request for testimony from a woman who claims to have seen Andrew in Tramp nightclub.

Documents said Shukri Walker’s evidence should include questions about the presence of the duke and Ms Giuffre at Tramp nightclub in March 2001 and any interactions the pair had.

Judge Kaplan also requested the help of the Australian Attorney General to obtain testimony from Ms Giuffre’s husband Robert and her psychologist Dr Judith Lightfoot.

The judge made specific requests to find out more about how Mr Giuffre met Ms Giuffre, their discussions about Prince Andrew, her alleged childhood trauma and abuse and her relationship with Epstein and Maxwell.

Writing to Dr Lightfoot, Judge Kaplan asked for her evidence to include the following: Ms Giuffre’s medical treatment, her diagnosis of Ms Giuffre, matters discussed during their sessions and claims made about Andrew.

The judge requested for the testimony from all four witnesses to be completed by April 29.
