Prince Andrew biography: Shocking claims of hotel tryst and more Epstein links

A new biography that centres on the life of Prince Andrew and his former wife, Sarah Ferguson, has unveiled more jaw-dropping claims about the Duke’s life, including sexual escapades and further ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Penned by the Royal biographer Andrew Lownie, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, is a book that the Royal family allegedly tried to ban, which traces the personal life of the Duke alongside a number of explosive claims.

“Based on years of investigation, extensive Freedom of Information requests and more than a hundred interviews with previously silent sources, acclaimed royal expert Andrew Lownie delivers an authoritative and deeply revealing dual portrait of the Duke and Duchess, whose lives and relationship have been marked by privilege, controversy, and public fascination,” a synopsis of the new book claims.

Due to be officially released in late August, the Mail Online have started to share excerpts of the book ahead of time, revealing lurid details of Andrew’s lifestyle of sex and his friendship with certain disgraced characters.

The damning claims are nothing short of stunning — and the Duke has yet to respond since the contents of the book were leaked. The Royal family declined to comment when approached by The Standard.

Here are some of the more explosive points revealed in the new biography.

‘Lost his virginity at 11 years old’

The new biography alleges that Andrew lost his virginity when he was just 11, and it became a moment he “realised that he was obsessed with women.”

Referred to as “Randy Andy” in the media at the time, people close to him suggested that his young encounters may have shaped the person he turned into.

The book claims he had his first sexual encounter at eight and lost his virginity at 11, the age at which most UK kids finish primary school.

It goes on to claim that by the time Andrew became a teenager, he had already slept with “more than half-a-dozen girls.”

According to the biographer, the young royal’s early sexual encounters “perhaps explains some of the behaviour later on”, with another source also agreeing that it “might be the root of Andrew’s problems.”

‘Spent a night with 40 women’

Based on extracts published by the Mail Online, many people in Andrew’s orbit knew he had a penchant for enjoying sexual escapades in his spare time.

The reports claim that even being on official Royal duty didn’t stop Andrew when he attended the King of Thailand’s diamond jubilee celebrations in 2006.

According to the book, a correspondent claims that “more than 40 women were brought to his hotel room in Bangkok during his stay.”

The insider claims: “Hotel staff were used to foreigners bringing in girls, but amazed that more than 10 a day were going to Andrew’s room.”

‘Staff saw him as a sex pest’

Even people working for the Duke claim that they encountered his more “sleazy behaviour.”

Emma Gruenbaum, a masseuse at the Wentworth Golf Club, reportedly said the Prince would insist on having sports massage naked and would often try to turn to the topic of sex.

“All the way through, he was talking about anal sex and making anal sex jokes,” she is quoted as saying.

“He asked when I had last had sex. It went on and on. That’s just not normal behaviour for a professional sports therapy session. He was a constant sex pest from the start.”

‘Jeffrey Epstein used Andrew and sold his secrets’

The new book also unveils some new details about the ‘friendship’ that Andrew had with the disgraced sex trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein, who Lownie claims used the Royal.

“Epstein played Andrew,” the book says. “The prince was a useful idiot who gave him respectability, access to political leaders and business opportunities. He found him easy to exploit.”

According to the Royal biographer, Epstein used the access to learn about the Prince’s 'intimate secrets', which he then reportedly sold to foreign agents, including Israel’s Mossad spy agency.

‘Harry gave Andrew a bloody nose’

Another part of the book claims that Andrew and the Duke of Sussex also locked horns in 2013, leading to a tiff that caused a bloody nose.

According to the Mail, the fight was caused by something Andrew said behind Harry’s back, which led to punches being thrown.

“Harry got the better of Andrew by all accounts, leaving him with a bloody nose before the fight was broken up,” the excerpt claims.

Apparently, his behaviour around his nephews was another reason why the Royal family eventually shunned Andrew.

‘He wasn’t nice to his staff’

Andrew’s rude behaviour also resulted in many staff being reduced to tears, the experts from the book claim.

He was observed demanding outrageous things from his staff, including “maids summoned from four floors below to open the curtains beside him.”

According to Wendy Berry, a housekeeper whose son also worked at Buckingham Palace, the Duke saw his staff as ‘there to serve and not to question his actions’.

“In all honesty, he wasn’t a particularly nice person,” another staff member for the Royals was quoted as saying.
