Prince Andrew arrived at Royal Portrush Golf Club for his youth golf tournament in a cavalcade of Range Rovers this morning.
Young people from around the world teed off for his Young Champions Trophy around 8am, with the Duke of York appearing just before 9am.
There are fears his visit could draw negative attention to the club following its Open Championship high because of his association with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew, 59, has continually denied knowing anything about the American financier’s crimes.
Royal Portrush has so far declined to comment on his visit, but HRH’s portrait still adorns the walls of the Club House between those of the Queen and Prince Philip.
Despite a heavy police presence at the Royal grounds, no one would know he was even here and the 60 or so competing golfers appear more concerned with the task at hand.
A Royal spokesperson said the prince will not be taking interviews, but added that there is never a media facility at the youth tournament.
