Prince Amukamara responds to fan’s tweet about him potentially joining Broncos

After agreeing to trade a fourth-round draft pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for cornerback A.J. Bouye, the Denver Broncos are a little deeper at cornerback. The team still needs more depth, though.

There’s a chance that Denver could still re-sign Chris Harris, but it seems like a small chance. If Bryce Callahan can stay healthy this season, he could team up with Bouye to give the Broncos two quality cornerbacks. Denver will want to have three quality CBs.

One fan on Twitter suggested that Prince Amukamara could be the team’s No. 3 cornerback. Amukamara took note of the tweet and replied with eye emojis.

Amukamara, who played under coach Vic Fangio from 2017-2018, was cut by the Chicago Bears three weeks ago. Because he was released, Amukamara is free to sign with any team even before the start of free agency on March 18.

There have been no reports — so far — of the Broncos having interest in Amukamara but the team might be waiting to see how the first wave of free agency unfolds before potentially considering the 30-year-old CB.

Amukamara is a name to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
