Prince Amukamara hasn’t lost faith in his QB: ‘In Trubisky we trust’

Mitchell Trubisky has no shortage of critics that doubt that he can be a franchise quarterback for the Bears. And rightfully so.

While there was plenty of blame to go around for the offense’s failures, Trubisky’s regression in 2019 was alarming. Trubisky might’ve lost the Bears fan base, but he hasn’t lost his teammates, including cornerback Prince Amukamara.

“You heard it here,” Amukamara told TMZ. “In Trubisky we trust!”

Amukamara, who has been supportive of Trubisky in the past, said that the Bears remain confident in Trubisky moving forward as their starting quarterback.

“Coming from a guy who sees him work hard, I know what he has in store,” he said. “I still feel like he played great for us last year and I think he’s our guy.”

While Trubisky’s teammates have been nothing short of supportive of their quarterback, we’ll see if his general manager feels the same. The Bears are expected to bring in a veteran quarterback to challenge Trubisky.

But we’ll just how much Ryan Pace trusts Trubisky by exactly which quarterback he brings in — and if he turns to the NFL Draft for a young signal caller.
