Prime Video top 10 shows — here’s the 3 I’m binge-watching this weekend

Chris Pratt in The Terminal List.

Prime Video’s top 10 is constantly shifting, with new titles climbing the ranks and old favorites making surprise returns. It’s a quick way to see what everyone’s streaming, but with so many options it can be hard to know what’s actually worth your time.

That’s why I’ve picked out three shows that stand above the rest this week. Whether you’re in the mood for intense thrills, explosive action, or something lighter to balance it all out, these are the series I’ll be binge-watching this weekend (and you should too).

This roundup includes a spy thriller back in the spotlight thanks to its upcoming prequel, a new action series starring Daniel Dae Kim, and a recently added comedy-drama containing plenty of laughs.

This is based on the Prime Video top 10 U.S shows as of Friday, August 22, 2025.

Best shows in the Prime Video top 10

‘The Terminal List’

Chris Pratt’s action-thriller “The Terminal List” has climbed back into Prime Video’s top 10, and the timing isn’t surprising. With the prequel series “The Terminal List: Dark Wolf” arriving in less than a week on August 27, fans are clearly revisiting the original to get a refresher before diving into the new chapter.

The series centers on Navy SEAL James Reece (Pratt), who returns home after his platoon is ambushed during a covert mission. Battling memory lapses and plagued by paranoia, he begins piecing together a conspiracy that reaches far beyond what he imagined, threatening both his life and everyone close to him.

“Dark Wolf” shifts the spotlight to Reece’s trusted comrade Ben Edwards (Taylor Kitsch), tracing his early career and the dangerous world of covert operations that ultimately set the stage for “The Terminal List.”

‘Butterfly’

Rather than relying solely on high-speed action from the start, “Butterfly” builds its tension around an emotional core. The mix of covert operations and fractured family ties gives the series its own unique flavor.

The story centers on David Jung (Daniel Dae Kim), a former U.S. intelligence agent who went off the grid, even faking his own death, in order to shield his loved ones. His past catches up to him when his daughter Rebecca (Reina Hardesty), now a lethal assassin working for the shadowy organization Caddis, is ordered to track him down and finish the job.

What follows is a gripping chase across South Korea, as David fights to stay ahead of both his estranged daughter and the powerful agency pulling her strings.

‘Good Cop/Bad Cop’

All eight episodes of “Good Cop/Bad Cop” recently landed on Prime Video. The comedy-drama, created by John Quaintance and produced in partnership with The CW and Stan, first debuted on the network back in February.

The show centers on Lou (Leighton Meester) and Henry Hickman (Luke Cook), estranged siblings who suddenly find themselves working side by side as detectives in the eccentric town of Eden Vale. Their father, Chief Big Hank (Clancy Brown), is the rule-bending police chief who insists they team up, despite their rocky history.

Lou brings sharp instincts and strong people skills to the job, while Henry relies on logic and a more socially awkward approach. Together, their clashing styles lead to plenty of tension (and comedy) as they tackle a new case each episode, often featuring offbeat locals and strange twists.
