'Heads of State' (2025)
Thankfully, you don't need to dodge every Prime Video original movie in the streamer's charts, as Ilya Naishuller's "Heads of State" is a solid watch that's perfect for anyone looking for a breezy action-comedy.
It's far from the greatest movie ever made, but it is a genuinely entertaining romp, one that sees John Cena and Idris Elba flexing their comic muscles as US President Will Derringer (Cena) and UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Elba), two leaders who do not like one another.
After narrowly dodging an assassination attempt aboard Air Force One, the pair crash-land in the middle of Europe. With almost no help, the duo is forced to put aside their differences and work together to get back home safe and sound.

'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' (2024)
"Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" might not quite be the very best of these modern "Apes" films (in my eyes), but Wes Ball's fourth installment is absolutely worth experiencing if you're yet to check it out.
It's a thrilling addition to the franchise, one that takes us along for the ride on an epic adventure that takes place generations after Caesar's reign. Apes are now the dominant species on Earth and live harmoniously in different groups. But as a tyrannical new ape leader begins forging his own empire, a young ape sets out on an epic journey (alongside an unlikely human ally) that has huge implications for the future of human and ape-kind.
If you want to get swept along on an epic adventure (and you won't miss seeing Caesar too much), this is the movie for you.

'Wicked' (2024)
As a theater kid (and a fan of great movies), I couldn't not recommend "Wicked" now that it's come to Prime Video. It was "Popular" for a reason!
Jon M. Chu's musical adaptation sees Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo taking center stage as Glinda and Elphaba (respectively), whisking us off to the land of Oz for a dazzling, all-singing, all-dancing tale about these two unlikely allies. Set before Dorothy walked the yellow brick road, the movie explores Elphaba and Glinda's time as roommates (and eventual friends) at Shiz University.
If you somehow managed to miss it in theaters (or you just want to relive the magic), now's the perfect time to get it watched: "Wicked: For Good" is due to finish the story in just a couple of months.
