Prime to be stocked in Morrisons amid sky-high demand for energy drink

Another major supermarket in the UK has confirmed plans to start stocking Prime, Manchester Evening News reports. The hugely popular hydration drink was created by Youtubers Logan Paul and KSI in 2022.

The beverage arrived in the UK later in the year, but has turned into a rare commodity due to how fast it was being sold out. Asda were initially the only sellers of the energy drink, but demand has risen so drastically that some independent retailers were selling bottles for as much as £8.50, and even high prices being listed on trading sites like eBay.

Queues at Aldi were lengthy over the Christmas period when the retailer began selling the drink as a Special Buy that limited customers to only three bottles per purchase. Costco also briefly stocked the drink.

Morrisons are the latest supermarket to confirm Prime will be a welcome addition to their shelves. The supermarket giant has not yet confirmed dates for when the drink will be stocked but in a statement to the M.E.N, said: "We are looking to bring PRIME into stores."

KSI and Logan's venture has proven to be a good financial move for the former boxing adversaries. Speaking on KIIS FM's The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday, Paul, 27, said ‘in year one we cleared $250 million in retail sales and $110million gross internally.'

He added that in January 2023, the pair did $45 million: ""We definitely cracked the code. We hit a few really important things that are a staple marketing ploy of this generation."

He continued by explaining that he and KSI, 29, utilised their social media popularity and talents in content creation to ensure the product remains firmly present in fans' minds. The Brit added that he cannot think of any brand that has gained as much fanfare as quickly as Prime.
