Prime Minister says he won't watch Meghan and Harry with Oprah

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said he won't be watching the interview of Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, with Oprah Winfrey.

Mr Johnson said the early-morning airing of the show - which was shown in the USA at 1am GMT - meant he wouldn't be able to watch it.

And he said he will be focussing on the vaccine rollout.

"Of course I'm interested in all sorts of stuff, news around the world. I don't think - I think it's quite late our time - so I'll probably miss it and I'll be focussing, as I'm sure you would expect and the people of the country would expect, I'm focusing on rolling out the vaccine - making sure that we get it into as many arms as possible and using that extraordinary vaccine rollout programme to deliver a cautious, but we hope, irreversible roadmap to freedom."

Asked if he would record the show, Mr Johnson said: "I think it unlikely"

Oprah With Meghan and Harry is on ITV at 9pm on Monday March 8. You can watch the full interview afterwards on the ITV hub
